SUPPORT

We want you to become a member of the Association for Criminal Justice Research (California) to assist the dissemination of research-focused information on criminal justice issues and to promote communications among discussants. All communications outside of our conferences, our newsletters and web-site are funded by member dues. By joining ACJR and paying your $45 in dues, you are helping support these important functions of the Association.

NETWORKING

We want you to join us, person like yourself with an interest in the development of policies and programs to make our society a safer place and assist persons who have committed criminal acts to pay appropriately for their actions and to assist them in finding different behavioral paths. We want you to join persons who believe with you that the application of evidence-based programming is to be encouraged. We want to both network with you and support your particular projects and interests. To view a partial list of the organizations represented by our members, click on “Affiliations” above.

BENEFITS

In addition to the important extrinsic and more global reasons for becoming part of ACJR, there are several practical and financial benefits we offer to members:

  • We offer discounts in conference fees that offset a part of the dues. Those who attend both conferences could save the equivalent of two-thirds of the costs of membership.
  • Members receive regular newsletters that tell of upcoming events that might be of interest, share information at conferences that might have been missed, share other items, such as articles and books, that have recently appeared, and generally keep members connected to ACJR and to each other
  • Members have access to the “Members Only” section of our web site which features past conference presentations and other “historical” items, information on other members to foster communications between members, and (eventually) a Discussion Room to share insights on current criminal justice issues.
